D.J. was born and raised in South Carolina where he grew up in the small town of Union. It is the kind of place where everybody knows everybody or at least one of their kin. That small town hospitality, kindred nature, and love of fellowship is what D.J. brings to every client interaction. He wants to be more than just your mortgage loan officer, but a trusted friend that celebrates every win and holds your hand when times get tough. Helping others is not what he does; it’s who he is, and it’s been that way ever since he was a little kid helping his mom with his 3 younger siblings.
D.J.’s mortgage career began in operations in 2020 right before the pandemic shut down. With record low rates and record high volume, D.J. assisted in the closing of hundreds of loans in his first year in the industry. That rolled over into 2021 where he also assisted in the closing of hundreds of loans. To say he learned a lot during that time would be an understatement. In February of 2022, he decided to get his mortgage license so he could increase his capacity to help people even more. He uses his extensive operations knowledge to educate his clients and facilitate a smooth process from application to closing.
When he’s not assisting clients with mortgages, D.J. can be found out and about around Fort Mill, SC where he resides with his wife Brittany, and their 3 sons Dre, Bryson, and Miles. They enjoy spending time together attending live events, vacationing, attending zoos (our family goal is to attend all major zoos in the U.S.), and having very competitive game nights at home (the Booker family plays to win). He also enjoys hanging out with friends, date nights and large family gatherings.
