The worked with my Lennox Furnace and AC. Its approx 19 years old. I wasn’t aware you needed a special-order bracket if your wiring uses a standard electrical box. I was able to retrofit the existing Honeywell Lyric Round back plate so it worked out ok. Its hard to see but I attached it.
Easy to install and navigate. Definitely in improvement and a upgrade.

Well, on Christmas eve-eve, our older Nest thermostat decided to lose its brain and stop functioning. No big deal except it was -7° F outside! I went to Home Depot the next day (Christmas eve, thankfully they were open) and purchased the Google Nest thermostat. I was affordable and easy to install. My older setup had only 4 wires, but this thermostat, altough it worked, was complaining about low voltage and no “C” (common) wire. Luckily there were xtra conductors tucked in the wall box so I connected one of the extras to “C” both on the thermostat base and on the furnace controller. This fixed the voltage issue. I prefer the older model as it had a rotating ring to control, this has touch sensors on the right hand side that take a bit to get used to. This does not work with the Nest app, but instead works with the Google Home app. I find the app simple to use. I have not enabled the learning features, as I want to control my home temperature. Overall a great product!
